Date: 10 December 2024
Time: 10:00 – 11:00 AM CET
Location: Online
Vulnerable groups are disproportionately affected by the climate crisis while being systematically excluded from climate policy-making at both national and international levels. They are often less equipped to face and adapt to climate change challenges and are underprepared for the green and digital transitions, further reinforcing their vulnerable position. To build resilient societies, actions must prioritize the most affected and marginalized populations. Engaging these groups in defining adaptation approaches and solutions strengthens their capacities and fosters inclusive resilience.
This webinar is a joint initiative by FUTURESILIENCE, R4C, and ACCTING. It aims to raise awareness about the critical need to include vulnerable populations in policy framing and activity design to build resilience. Attendees will gain practical insights on stakeholder involvement, with a focus on intersectionality and gender+ equality, ultimately contributing to the development of resilient societies.
