Added on 04/07/2024

We are delighted to announce the successful conclusion of the 6th Migration Summer School at CITY College, University of York Europe Campus. This year’s theme, "Global displacement, human rights and unequal development," provided a rich and engaging platform for participants to delve into critical issues affecting our world today.

From June 27th to July 4th, participants attended a variety of sessions, including:

  • Lectures on migration in the Mediterranean, asylum politics, and international human rights law.
  • Practical workshops on labor rights, forced migration, and arts-based methods in activism.
  • Engaging activities such as a guided tour of the fortress-Kastra and an excursion to the Archaeological Site and museum of Dion.

The program not only offered a comprehensive academic experience but also facilitated the formation of lasting friendships and professional networks among participants.

A special thank you to Alexandra Prodromidou, PhD, Dr. Kelly PasmatziSara Ababneh, PhD, Sara De Jong, Hannah J Lewis, Patrícia Nabuco Martuscelli, Indrajit Roy, Ioana Cismas, Dr Ahmed Khaleel د. احمد فيصل البحر, #DrRebeccaMurray, #DrCatherineCraven, Svitlana Chugaievska, #RokZupančič who shared their expertise and insights. We look forward to more such enriching experiences in the future.
