CLARIFAI

Clarity in Impact Assessment with AI

Project Concept

The CLARIFAI project will develop and commercialize an AI-powered SaaS tool for the impact investment market. The tool is designed to provide reliable data for assessing impact investment opportunities, with a particular focus on early-stage startups often overlooked by traditional ESG metrics. The project involves three main activity areas: research, product development, and business development, all to be coordinated by the Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure alignment with project goals. The Research Phase, to be conducted by the research team formed by the University of Luxembourg and the South-East European Research Centre (SEERC), will include comprehensive market analysis, stakeholder engagement, and requirements gathering through social experimentation in realistic pilots. The goal will be to refine the existing prototype by enhancing its precision and reliability, ensuring alignment with the evolving needs of the impact investment market. The Product Development Phase, led by EBAN, will focus on designing, prototyping, testing, and refining the AI tool. Iterative feedback from the research phase will guide improvements, ensuring the final product is innovative and user-friendly. The Business Development Phase, led by FastTrack Ventures, aims to create a robust business model, financial plan, marketing strategies, and sales tactics. The consortium engages with potential investors and devise a comprehensive go-to-market strategy to ensure commercial success. The project implementation will consist of three phases: 1) prototype enhancement and initial user acquisition; 2) full-scale product launch and market penetration; 3) post-launch growth and continuous improvement. By leveraging AI to process qualitative impact data, the project aims to improve investment decisions and support the growth of impact startups, ultimately creating a sustainable SaaS product enhancing transparency, accountability, and effectiveness in the impact investment ecosystem.
