Georgia Papaioannou is a lecturer in the Psychology Department of CITY College, University of York Europe Campus and a junior research officer in South East European Research Center (SEERC) currently working on a European funded project called MENTBEST: Protecting mental health in times of change. Additionally, she is a self-employed Clinical Neuropsychologist with a strong background in clinical research and practice.

She holds a MA in Clinical Neuropsychology from the University of Sheffield and a BSc in Applied Psychology from the University of Derby. Georgia has contributed to various research projects conducted by esteemed educational institutions as well as she has also collaborated with reputable research centers and non-governmental organizations. She has gained valuable experience working alongside prominent health institutions, including Anagennisi Rehabilitation Center, Papageorgiou General Hospital, AHEPA General University Hospital, Alzheimer Association Day Care Unit ‘Agios Ioannis’ and the Greek Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Her research interests lie in the areas related to aging, cognitive functioning, healthcare and social well-being, with particular focus on understanding the need of older adults and developing practical solutions to improve their quality of life.
