Mr Katakalos' first degree was in Computer Science at CITY College (Thessaloniki). Then the MSc in Distributed Multimedia and Information Systems in Heriot-Watt University (Edinburgh) followed. In September 2003, he started his PhD at the South-East Europe Research Centre in which he was also a Research Assistant.
