SEERC was proud to contribute to an inspiring event hosted by the Thessaloniki Innovation Zone, featuring a high-profile panel discussion moderated by Dr. Simeon Veloudis, Senior Researcher at SEERC and Associate Professor with the Computer Science Department at CITY ULE, University of York Europe Campus.

The discussion brought together distinguished experts to explore how the convergence of AI and blockchain technologies can unlock a trustworthy and privacy-preserving digital future.

Keynote insights were provided by Charles Hoskinson, CEO and Founder of Input Output Global (IOG); the company behind the Cardano blockchain, who shared his vision of innovation grounded in transparency and decentralization.

The panel also featured Prof. Konstantinos Diamantaras, Dr Konstantinos Votis, Mr Carlos R Vargas-Montero, and Mr Nikolaos Tsoniotis, who offered valuable perspectives on technological innovation, human-centred design, and the societal implications of emerging technologies. Their contributions sparked a lively and forward-looking exchange that highlighted the importance of collaboration across disciplines and sectors.
