A guide on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) has been developed by SEERC within the frame of the INTERVALUE project. The IPR Guide describes the procedures that are necessary for any organization involved in R&D in order to define and implement an IPR valorisation strategy. Intellectual property matters cannot be tackled in a case-per-case manner if they are to be accompanied by commercialization activities that will generate value for a company. A well-thought strategy needs to be devised and a favourable business environment to be created in which it will be applied. In this way IPR will be embraced as a sine qua non of the company’s operation and value adding activities. The guide makes special reference to strategic, organizational issues, procedures and personnel. It includes information on theoretical IPR concepts, information on practical matters of IPR exploitation and a presentation of case studies.
The core content of the guide was prepared by SEERC; the local INTERVALUE partners University of Udine - Italy (UNIUD), Technical University of Sofia - Bulgaria (TUS), University of Craiova - Romania (UCV), Theodore Puskas Foundation - Hungary (TPF) and also the Mihajlo Pupin Institute - Serbia (MPI) will enrich the content of the web guide in a more practical manner by providing a set of case studies, review of law regulations, samples of documents and lists of web resources for further reference.
