Assistant Professor /Associate Professor (Research) in Supply Chain Management & Operations Management

The Business Administration and Economics Department (Thessaloniki based programmes) is seeking to recruit an Assistant Professor/Associate Professor in the field of Logistics and Supply Chain Management and Operations Management.
The envisioned role consists of 30% teaching and 70% working on related research projects implemented by CITY College’s research centre – the South East European Research Centre (SEERC). The successful candidate will be employed and based at SEERC and will be integrated into the Business Administration and Economics Department of CITY College University of York Europe (depending on the qualifications).
The teaching role (co-teaching with the module leader) consists of:
- Autumn semester: a module on Logistics and Supply Chain Management for undergraduate students
- Autumn semester: a module on Operations and Process Management for post-graduate students
- Spring semester: a module on Global Supply Chain Management for post-graduate students
- Supervision of MSc dissertations
The research role consists of:
- Contribution to the development of project deliverables (in the field of sustainable supply chains, circular economy and responsible innovation). This may entail systematic literature reviews, research studies, focus groups, data analysis, reporting.
- Organization and participation in relevant workshops and trainings.
- Development of publications from the research results (from the ongoing projects).
- Participation in project meetings and co-lead work packages and tasks.
- Contribution to the development of new funded project applications
To be qualified for this role you should have:
· PhD in a relevant area
· Evidence of inspired teaching in an international and diverse learning environment.
· Excellent command of the English Language
· Publications in relevant journals
· Prior experience on working with EU-funded research projects
· Work permit or permission to work in the European Union
