Invitation to submit a Marie Sklodowska Curie Individual Fellowship proposal in cooperation with the South East European Research Centre
The South East European Research Centre (SEERC), a Research Centre of the International Faculty of the University of Sheffield, CITY College is inviting interested researchers to apply for receiving support in order to participate in the MSCA Individual Fellowship (MSCA IF) program. SEERC will award up to three (3) support and travel grants to eligible and promising applicants, providing support to develop a competitive proposal in order to apply to the MSCA IF program.
1. What is the MSCA Individual Fellowship program?
The MSCA IF program aims at providing “…opportunities to researchers of any nationality to acquire and transfer new knowledge and to work on research and innovation in Europe …” Successful applicants will be fully funded for implementing a research project in a Research organisation (beneficiary or host organisation) away from their country for a period of 12 to 24 months. During their stay at the beneficiary/host organisation they will be supervised by experienced academic staff, trained and will establish in cooperation with their supervisor a “Career Development Plan”
2. Who can apply to receive support from SEERC?
Only researchers coming from the following countries can apply for receiving support from SEERC:

2.1 Essential qualifications for the applicants
- You should be a citizen of the countries listed above. Note: It is not necessary to currently leave in these countries.
- You should not have leaved in Greece for more than 12 months for the period of 13/9/2015- 12/2/2018 (mobility rule)
- You should have a PhD degree
- You should be fluent in English
- You should have a research project idea that falls within the interests of SEERC and the International Faculty of the University of Sheffield, CITY College. Note that the International Faculty of the University of Sheffield, CITY College has four departments:
- Business Administration and Economics
- Computer Science
- Psychology
- English Studies

3. How can you apply?

- A brief description of your research idea (max 500 words). Please indicate the desired duration of the Individual Fellowship for which you wish to apply (from a minimum of 12 to a maximum of 24 months). You may also indicate preference for your supervisors (out of the International Faculty staff, check the link above)
- A detailed CV
- Any other document that you think will enable us to access your application (i.e. published research papers, other written/ published work)
4. What is SEERC offering?
- We will appoint a supervisor and will work with you to prepare a proposal that will be submitted by September 12, 2018 to the MSCA Individual Fellowship Call.
- We will fund one 2-3 days trip to Thessaloniki prior to the submission, in order to work closely with your proposed supervisor and the SEERC staff (travel and accommodation costs will be covered)
- If the proposal is successful, we will act as your host organisation, offer access to our facilities and the facilities of the International Faculty of the University of Sheffield, CITY College, provide research training and supervision for your project.
