Mr. Islam Yusufi obtained his Bachelor Degree in International Relations from Ankara University (1993-1997). He then studied for an MA in International Affairs in Bilkent University (1997-1999) and for a post- Masters Degree in International and European Studies at the University of Amsterdam (1999-2000). As of October 2003, he is a PhD candidate at the University of Sheffield - South-East European Research Center, where he is doing a doctorate on European integration of the western Balkans and security governance. Mr. Yusufi currently serves as Assistant to National Security Adviser of the President of Macedonia. He is also International Policy Fellow at the Center for Policy Studies, Budapest, Hungary. Previously, he held a fellowship at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington DC, Research Fellowship at NATO and Research and Teaching Assistantship at the Bilkent University.
