The theme of the GASPP 6 was Globalisation, Regionalisation, and the Making of Social Policy in South Eastern Europe. The event sought to explore the development of an internationalist analytical framework for understanding the ways in which country level social policy changes are influenced by transnational and regional actors. In this context, the countries of South-Eastern Europe, and the region as a whole, form a case study, bringing together issues of the boundaries of the European social space; post-communist transition; post-conflict configurations; and the development of South-East European social governance. The event intended to promote dialogue and debate between researchers, policy makers, and practitioners.
