Nikos Zaharis, the Director of SEERC, was an invited speaker at the 2008 Regional Finance and Investment Conference for South East Europe, which took place on the 21st and 22nd of October in Thessaloniki. The Regional Finance and Investment Conference for South East Europe is one of the renowned meeting points of the world's business and finance specialists.
Mr Zaharis discussed business opportunities and restraints within Panel IV "Making the Region a Home for World-Class Business", prior to the closing keynote address by the Greek Minister of Economy and Finance, Mr. Alogoskoufis.
The conference this year continued to examine the key investment opportunities in the countries of South East Europe, bringing together senior government ministers and local business entrepreneurs with international investors. The audience was over 500 strong with representation from the key economies in the region and international delegations from over 30 countries worldwide.
