The EU-funded projects ICT-WEB-PROMS (www.ict-web-proms.eu) and WINS-ICT (www.wins-ict.eu) are jointly organising a training and networking workshop for Western Balkans and EU research cooperation on ICT for Learning and eLearning. The workshop will be held in the frame of the 4th Balkan Conference in Informatics (BCI 2009) which takes place in Thessaloniki, Greece, on 18th of September, 2009.
This 1-day workshop focuses on Technology Enhanced Learning and ICT skills and it addresses researchers from the Western Balkan countries and also from the EU. It intends to provide guidance and the necessary information for participating in the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7), and will be structured in sessions that allow the participants from the WBC and the EU to:
- become informed on the latest developments and trends in e-Learning
- become trained on how to participate in FP7 Proposals and how to manage contractual and financial obligations that arise from grants.
- benefit from the presentation of Best practices and FP experiences
- network with representatives of other organizations, by presenting their capacities in the field of Technology Enhanced Learning and ICT
The two projects, ICT-WEB-PROMS "Promoting ICT cooperation opportunities and policy dialogue with the Western Balkan Countries" and WINS-ICT "Western Balkan Countries INCO-NET Support in the field of ICT" are two EU-funded Specific Support Actions aiming at enhancing scientific and research cooperation between the Western Balkan region and the EU, specifically in the theme of Information & Communication Technologies (ICT).
