The 10th IFIP Working Conference on Virtual Enterprises (PRO-VE'09) will take place in Thessaloniki, Greece, on October 7-9, 2009. The conference is organised by the South East European Research Centre and sponsored by the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP). The theme in this year's conference is "Leveraging Knowledge for Innovation in Collaborative Networks".
Collaborative Networks emerged a decade ago as a very active and constantly growing area. Since then, various CN manifestations such as virtual enterprises and virtual organizations have been supported by large research and business practice communities. PRO-VE is recognised as a premier scientific event and dissemination forum in the area of Collaborative Networks, and is aimed at facilitating the exchange of views on both research developments and industrial case studies.
The decennial anniversary edition of PRO-VE'09 continues the series of successful conferences of PRO-VE'99 (Porto, Portugal), PRO-VE 2000 (Florianopolis, Brazil), PRO-VE'02 (Sesimbra, Portugal), PRO-VE'03 (Lugano, Switzerland), PRO-VE'4 (Toulouse, France), PRO-VE'05 (Valencia, Spain), PRO-VE'06 (Helsinki, Finland), PRO-VE'07 (Guimaraes, Portugal) and PRO-VE'08 (Poznan, Poland).
