This project aims to enhance the capacity of small community organizations, grassroots movements, associations, and collectives to implement participatory methodologies and bottom-up approaches. By actively engaging socially excluded individuals or those at risk of exclusion, the project fosters discussions and actions centered on solidarity.
A key objective is to strengthen democratic participation by involving citizens and communities in the consultation, design, and implementation of tailored activities and social services that directly address their needs. Targeting small community organizations and marginalized individuals, the project equips local and regional organizations with the tools to implement bottom-up strategies, ensuring meaningful citizen participation in solidarity initiatives that impact them.
By engaging citizens early in the co-design process, the project mobilizes communities around shared interests and common goals, fostering civic engagement, social inclusion, and solidarity.
Key Activities:
Partnering organizations—each with extensive experience in participatory work and community organizing—will:
• Enhance capacity-building for local civil society organizations, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to apply participatory methodologies effectively. This will enable them to engage at-risk individuals in reflection, decision-making, and activity design to address their challenges.
• Promote societal engagement through interactive workshops, events, art-based initiatives, and knowledge-sharing activities that encourage solidarity and civic participation.
• Facilitate knowledge exchange on bottom-up participatory work among EU communities of practice, local organizations, associations, and collectives. This will help sustain trust-based relationships with communities in need.
Through these actions, the project strengthens social cohesion, amplifies community voices, and empowers marginalized groups to actively shape the initiatives that affect them.
