ARTEMIS [visit the official site]
The European Technology Platform for Advanced Research and Technology for Embedded Intelligence and Systems - was launched in mid-2004.
ARTEMIS' general objectives are:
- achieve world leadership in those embedded technologies that underpin European competitiveness in intelligent systems, products, services and processes;
- advance European solutions for the deployment of globally networked interoperable embedded systems that can connect to the internet and are open to third parties;
- favour the creation of new markets and enable societal-scale applications that enhance the safety, security and well-being of citizens.
ARTEMIS created a document entitled "Strategic Research Agenda (SRA)" that will guide European R&D actors (SMEs, public research organisations, large firms) in their R&D on embedded systems. This document can be found on the ARTEMIS WebSite.

ENIAC [visit the official site]
ENIAC is the European Technology Platform for Nanoelectronics
The ENIAC vision is to:
- Master the revolutionary transition from Microelectronics to Nanoelectronics
- Serve the future demands of European society
- Increase high-skilled employment
- Reinforce competitiveness of European industry
- Secure global leadership in high-tech research
It will achieve this by defining and developing the Strategic Research Agenda (SRA) for Nanoelectronics in Europe. The Strategic Research Agenda details a dynamic strategy for developing the technologies needed to achieve the long-term European goals
The ENIAC SRA objectives are:
- To serve the European Semiconductor value chain - Including suppliers / producers / users
- To Connect European high-quality competencies - Enabling critical knowledge, including SMEs
- To identify disruptive technologies to solve blocking points - Guided by SRA Domain Teams
- To focus on research leading to industrial innovation
- To enhance cooperation between industry and academia - Strong R&D ecosystems for each SRA domain
