Announcing the Launch of the LISTEN Project

Announcing the Launch of the LISTEN Project
Added on 15/03/2024

The South East European Research Centre (SEERC) is delighted to announce the initiation of LISTEN - Learning and Inclusion for SusTainable Community ENgagement. This new venture aims to advance democratic participation and enhance social inclusion by supporting small community organizations and grassroots movements. The LISTEN project receives funding from the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values Programme (CERV).

LISTEN focuses on empowering these entities with participatory methodologies and bottom-up approaches, facilitating meaningful engagement of communities, particularly those at risk of social exclusion. This initiative is a testament to SEERC's commitment to fostering inclusive community engagement and building resilient societies.

Project Goals and Vision

LISTEN is designed to empower local and regional organizations to implement bottom-up approaches, ensuring that activities and social services are closely aligned with the real needs of communities. By fostering democratic participation and civic engagement, the project seeks to mobilize citizens around shared goals, enhancing social solidarity and inclusion.

Throughout its lifecycle, LISTEN will:

  • Build the capacities of civil society organizations for effective participatory engagement.
  • Facilitate solidarity, societal engagement, and civic participation through various interactive initiatives.
  • Foster knowledge exchange on participatory work within the EU community to strengthen trust and collaboration with communities in need.

Stay tuned for more updates as we embark on this journey to deepen civic engagement and foster an inclusive, participatory culture across Europe. Join us in creating a more inclusive and engaged society with LISTEN.
